A taste that takes you home
Ask anyone who grew up in Punjab what they miss most and it's rarely something fancy. It's the paper bag of biscuits from the corner bakery. It's a hot patty on the way home. It's chai.
Isher Eggless Bakers began because that taste was missing in Australia. Not a version of it - the real thing: wholewheat atta biscuits, gur biscuits sweetened with jaggery, desi ghee nankhatai, ajwain and jeera cookies that are savoury enough to eat by the handful. And the patties: layered pastry, properly spiced potato, paneer and mix veg fillings, baked until they shatter when you bite them.
Everything we bake is 100% eggless. Not "eggless on request" - our kitchen simply doesn't use egg. For a lot of families that's the difference between a treat everyone can share and one that gets passed over.
This site exists for two things only: our eggless biscuits and cookies, and our eggless Punjabi patties, puffs and pastries. That's what we've spent years getting right, and that's all you'll find here.
Made for the chai on your table
Our customers order for Sunday mornings, for kids' lunchboxes, for the tin kept aside for unannounced guests, and for the parcel sent to a homesick student. We bake in batches and deliver across Australia so it arrives fresh.
